Bajiran Community Programme
The Fuladu Foundation works alongside the residents of Bajiran to respond to priorities identified by the community and to support practical improvements in everyday life. Since the programme began, this partnership has moved from consultation to implementation. The Bajiran Community Borehole has been completed, improving access to clean water for families, while the Foundation is now completing two new Early Childhood Development (ECD) classrooms at Al Huda Islamic School to provide young children with safer and more suitable learning spaces. Community consultations have also identified further priorities, including religious infrastructure and basic health services. The Foundation continues to work with residents and local leaders to develop practical, locally-led responses that strengthen living conditions and long-term resilience.
Community Priorities
Through ongoing dialogue with residents and community leaders, the Foundation has identified a number of priorities for Bajiran. Some have already progressed into implementation, while others will be developed progressively in partnership with the community.
Bajiran Community Borehole
Completed solar-powered borehole improving access to clean water for more than 70 families, with household connections progressively expanding.
Bajiran ECD Classrooms
Two new Early Childhood Development (ECD) classrooms at Al Huda Islamic School are nearing completion, creating safer and more suitable learning spaces for young children.
Bajiran Health Services
Basic health services remain a community priority. The Foundation is exploring practical ways to improve access and support local health facilities.
Bajiran Community Mosque
Improvements to the village mosque have been identified as a community priority, with future support to be developed alongside residents.
Programme Impact and Priorities
The Bajiran Community Programme is already contributing to improved living conditions through practical investments in water and education. The community borehole is completed and operational, while two new Early Childhood Development (ECD) classrooms are nearing completion at Al Huda Islamic School.
These initiatives respond directly to priorities identified with residents and local leaders and are helping strengthen access to essential services and more suitable learning conditions.
The Foundation will continue working alongside the community on other identified priorities, including basic health services and improvements to community infrastructure, ensuring that future initiatives remain locally led and responsive to community needs.
