Programmes
Discover how the Fuladu Foundation works alongside rural communities to expand access to education, strengthen sustainable livelihoods, and preserve cultural and spiritual heritage.
Bajiran Community Programme
The Bajiran Community Programme reflects the Fuladu Foundation’s commitment to practical, community-driven development that responds to priorities identified by residents and local leaders.
The programme began with the Bajiran Community Borehole, now completed and providing families with improved access to safe water. The Foundation has since expanded its support to education and is currently completing two new Early Childhood Development (ECD) classrooms at Al Huda Islamic School, helping create safer and more suitable learning spaces for young children.
Working alongside the community, the Foundation continues to support locally identified priorities in education, basic services and community infrastructure, with a focus on practical solutions that strengthen everyday living conditions and long-term resilience.
Kesser Kunda Village Programme
The Kesser Kunda Village Programme reflects the Fuladu Foundation’s commitment to practical, community-led development grounded in priorities identified with residents and village leaders.
The programme began with the Kesser Kunda Village Borehole, completed and operational since March 2026, improving access to clean water for the community. Building on this first investment, the Foundation is working with residents on the village’s next priorities, including improvements to the mosque area to provide a dedicated prayer space for women, a modest mortuary facility, and appropriate fencing.
Kesser Kunda also holds particular historical and cultural significance as the resting place of King Musa Molloh Baldeh, the last king of Fuladu. The programme therefore seeks to support better living conditions and long-term resilience while respecting and preserving the village’s heritage.
Support Community-Led Initiatives
Community-driven initiatives depend on partners and supporters who share our commitment to sustainable, locally-led development that responds to the priorities of the communities we serve.
The Fuladu Foundation works with individuals, organisations and institutions that want to contribute to practical initiatives that improve living conditions and create lasting opportunities in rural communities.
We also welcome the engagement of Gambians in the diaspora, whose experience, knowledge, networks and commitment can make an important contribution to locally-led development at home.
