Women of Kesser Kunda and their households

Fuladu Foundation, in consultation with the community

2026

Project Overview

Women in Kesser Kunda play an important role in household food production and family livelihoods. During discussions with the community, women expressed the need for greater support to develop their agricultural activities and strengthen their ability to generate income.

Needs raised include improved access to basic farming tools and inputs, as well as practical support that can help women improve production and make their agricultural activities more sustainable.

The Fuladu Foundation is working with the community to explore appropriate forms of support that can strengthen women’s livelihoods while contributing to household food security and economic resilience.

Potential Areas of Support

  • Access to basic farming tools and agricultural inputs;
  • Practical support and training for sustainable farming practices;
  • Opportunities for women to organise and work collectively;
  • Support for income-generating activities linked to agriculture;
  • Community-led approaches to the management and sustainability of future activities.

Project Status

The initiative is currently being developed in consultation with women and other members of the community. The needs have been identified, while the scope and model of support are still being defined.

Expected Community Benefit

Supporting women’s agricultural activities could help create additional opportunities for income generation while strengthening household food production.

The initiative is also intended to give women greater opportunities to develop productive activities, work collectively and contribute to the long-term economic resilience of their families and community.
