Project Overview

The mosque is an important center of spiritual life and community gathering in the Bajiran Community. Residents have expressed the need to support improvements to the mosque infrastructure so it can better accommodate religious activities and community gatherings.

For more than 30 years, the community has attempted to complete the construction of the mosque, but the project has remained unfinished. Over time, the existing structure has deteriorated and is now in urgent need of renovation and completion.

During consultations, residents also indicated that the community would be willing to allocate a new site for mosque construction if rebuilding proves to be a more viable option.

The Fuladu Foundation plans to work with the community and local leadership to explore the most appropriate way to support improvements to this important place of worship, while respecting local traditions and community priorities.

Strengthening community spaces such as mosques also contributes to social cohesion and the transmission of shared values across generations.

Project Components

  • Assessment of the existing mosque structure and potential renovation needs;
  • Potential renovation or reconstruction of mosque infrastructure;
  • Support for a safe and functional community gathering space;
  • Community-led maintenance and management of the mosque.

Project Status

The project remains under consultation with local leaders and community members.

Community Impact

Improving the mosque will strengthen an important center of spiritual life and community gathering in Bajiran. A safe and functional mosque will better support religious activities, community discussions, and important social events.

Supporting this space will also contribute to preserving the community’s spiritual and cultural traditions while providing a welcoming environment for future generations.
