Project Overview
Women play a central role in household food production and economic resilience in rural communities. In Kesser Kunda, women are actively engaged in small-scale farming activities that contribute to both household income and food security.
During community consultations, women highlighted the need for greater support to strengthen their agricultural activities, including access to basic tools, inputs, and knowledge to improve productivity and sustainability.
Residents also emphasized the importance of creating structured opportunities for women to organize, collaborate, and develop income-generating activities that can strengthen their economic autonomy and contribute to the well-being of their families.
The Fuladu Foundation is therefore exploring ways to support women-led farming initiatives through practical, community-driven approaches that promote sustainable agriculture, improve yields, and enhance household food security.

Community Impact
The initiative aims to strengthen women’s economic empowerment by increasing their capacity to generate income and contribute to household livelihoods. By improving access to farming resources and knowledge, it supports enhanced food production and greater household food security.
Beyond economic benefits, the initiative also promotes collective organization among women, strengthens community resilience, and contributes to more inclusive and sustainable local development.
