Project Overview
Access to basic healthcare services remains a challenge in many rural areas. Residents of the Bajiran Community have identified the need for improved access to health services as part of the community’s long-term priorities.
The village is located far from the main road network, and transportation infrastructure is particularly difficult, especially during the rainy season. At present, there is no transportation available to transfer sick or injured individuals to properly equipped health facilities, which can make it difficult for residents to access timely medical care.
The existing health post in the village also faces several operational challenges. Community members have reported that the toilets have been out of order for an extended period, there is no reliable lighting in the facility, and services are sometimes provided using torchlight at night. In addition, the health post lacks basic equipment and essential medicines needed to provide first aid or basic care.
The Fuladu Foundation is exploring potential initiatives that could help strengthen basic health services in the village. These efforts may involve partnerships with health professionals, improvements to essential health infrastructure, and support for basic equipment and supplies that can help the health post better serve the community.
Project Components

- Renovation of sanitation facilities, including repair or reconstruction of health post toilets;

Community Impact
Strengthening basic health services in the Bajiran Community will help improve access to essential care and contribute to better health outcomes for residents. Improvements to health infrastructure, sanitation, lighting, and access to basic medical supplies can support the delivery of safer and more effective first aid and primary care services within the community.
These initiatives contribute to strengthening the resilience and well-being of the Bajiran Community by improving access to essential infrastructure and services. Through a community-driven approach, the Fuladu Foundation works with local residents to ensure that projects reflect local priorities and generate lasting benefits.
