Project Overview
Access to clean and reliable water was identified as an important priority by the residents of Kesser Kunda during discussions with the Fuladu Foundation.
In response, the Foundation supported the installation of a solar-powered community borehole, providing the village with a more reliable source of clean water close to home.
The system includes a borehole, solar-powered pumping infrastructure and elevated water-storage tanks designed to support regular access to water for Kesser Kunda and neighbouring communities.

Project Status
The Kesser Kunda Village Borehole was completed and became operational in March 2026.
The system is now in use by the community and represents the first completed initiative under the Kesser Kunda Village Programme.
Community Impact
The borehole provides a more reliable source of clean water for residents of Kesser Kunda as well as people from neighbouring communities, helping make water more accessible for everyday household needs.
Beyond the infrastructure itself, this first completed initiative marks an important step in the Foundation’s partnership with Kesser Kunda and creates a basis for further community-led development.
